swims

early morning and late night swims

naked as we were

seam this week

and its shackling might.

out there, it’s just me, in the water,

with blue skies up above,

a brisk breeze hushing about,

and only little pangs

of momentary joy

passing by.

someone shook the box a bit too eagerly these days

and luckily, I made it out

and straight into the lake.

and there you will find me,

again and again,

when the road seems long and winding;

near the lake, it’s where the horizon clears up,

farther away than any city space can offer,

reminding gently that this,

this too shall pass.
