there will be no justice unless
we wake up with the revolution in mind
day after day, in private and in public.
will we act from a place of tenderness and strength
or a place of anger and shame and
what difference does it make?
it amazed me how visceral
the experience of oppression can be,
how disturbing whistleblowing can feel and just
how cleansing liberation truly is.
at the heart of it lies the question of
who we want to be
in the interconnected web of humanity.
but for now, it’s time to turn feminism into that,
which scares those it seeks to disarm
in the ways in which they don’t even expect
from all angles and in all ways.
