something_s we make

On the day of yet another attack

on civilians celebrating freedom,

I wonder what I can do to contribute.

I look around and am reminded that

the commandments teach, ours and yours,

to love your neighbor as yourself, ha!

How can I begin to love outside,

fairly and unconditionally,

if I cannot love within first.

And similarly, how can others respect me

if I don’t show them how?

So my care for the future starts with

caring for the self, myself here in the now, first,

spending time in my realms

and exploring the spaces given and then,

with constant acceptance of what is,

reaching out to you.
