The thing about the big moments
and all moments in music and all
moments in dancing and all moments
in art is that there is no thinking.
There is lots of planning initially,
and practice, then there is only doing,
being. There is no head, only heart
and hands. On the day of dance this
we celebrate: getting out of those
heads and into the relationship. To
remember, rekindle, reignite kinship to
one another. This we have in common.
And it’s so much more than anything,
anything else. That’s the thing about this
short, short life, this sweet life we were
given, granted, in that biggest magical
moment there has ever been anyway.
