On Teaching

First,

teach verbs.

Teach noticing, teach questioning, teach analyzing.

Teach thinking, teach solving, teach serving.

Teach collaborating, teach appreciating, teach reflecting.

Then,

teach nouns.

Teach times and names and places.

Teach the Then and the Now and the Tomorrow.

Teach the She and the He and the Us.

Teach the There and the Here and the Everywhere.

Then,

teach answers.

Teach the “Yes” and “No” and the “Maybe, it depends”.

Teach the “Thank you” and the “I’m sorry”.

Teach the silence.

And then,

wait.

Just wait.

There will be contemplation.

There will be action.

There will be change.
