Perspective

Sometimes I get upset

about something that seems big in the moment

and that is, in fact, in that moment absolutely valid.

And then

it’s good to take a deep breath and ask myself:

Will it matter in 7 seconds?

Will it matter in 7 minutes?

Will it matter in 7 hours?

Will it matter in 7 days?

Will it matter in 7 weeks?

Will it matter in 7 months?

Will it matter in 7 years?

To ask myself,

Will it matter down the road?*

It’s good to keep perspective. To keep the lens open, wide open. So that infinity-value can truly emerge and matter.

My former math teacher taught me this. He, in fact, taught me a lot of things – two of them being angels and perspectives.
