Believing.

In the Guntram-home,

We believe in fresh bread with melting butter. We believe in spring picnics and summer BBQs. We believe in treating stomach aches with ice cream. We believe in reading good-night stories over and over and over again. We believe in chatting by the bedside. We believe in praying with and for one another. We believe in God being Mother and Father and Love. We believe everyone should have a family. We believe in sisterhoods and siblings. We believe in friends, in new acquaintances. We believe in traditions and values. We believe in change. We believe in freedom and that the price for it is responsibility. We believe in listening to one another and in lifelong learning. We believe in progress, that things will get better. We believe in first impressions and second chances. We believe in cuddling with our parents even at the age of ascending double-digits. We believe in taking one another by the hand. We believe in dancing, in turning up the music. We believe in lipstick stains and coffee circles. We believe in high heels and blister band aids. We believe in long nights and longer talks. We believe in a little wine and a little cig. We believe in birthday cakes and shooting stars. We believe in making wishes. We believe in sitting in the tall grass and walking barefoot. We believe in strolls and runs and bike tours and traveling. We believe in picking one another up at the airport and train station. We believe in inviting you into our home. We believe in holes in socks and torn jeans. We believe in dogs and cats and bunnies and birds and guinea pigs. We believe in short hair and long hair and leg hair. We believe in gender roles and gender expressions. We believe in education. We believe in teachers and children, in policemen and doctors and nurses. We believe in working moms and crying dads. We believe in part-time jobs and social services. We believe money is important. We believe money isn’t everything. We believe in asking for help. We believe in flexibility and serenity. We believe that you can do it. We believe in “Hell yeah!”. We believe that perfection is neither possible nor necessary. We believe in talking, not in yelling. We believe in jokes and smiles and humor. We believe in laughter. We believe in tears of sadness and of joy. We believe in growing wider and stronger and down and around but never up. We believe in good relationships with our neighbors. We believe in street fairs and garden parties. We believe in our village, in our town, in our country. We believe in Home. We believe in the good in the world, and in happiness.  We believe in people. We believe in all colors – those of the rainbow and those of all skins. We believe in one another. In you. We believe that together, we are stronger. We believe in joy and gratitude. We believe in hope and peace. We believe in love. We believe in miracles. Bildschirmfoto 2013-07-02 um 21.01.14
