Like a bedsheet with grandmother’s matrimonial initials embroidered on it,
life tosses me up into the cheeky spring breeze,
then catches me gently,
and finally holds me into the glistening sunshine.
Up here, on life’s clothesline in dizzying heights,
I feel at peace,
As the new sprouts tickle my naked toes from below,
I am reminded to leap and land.
Right now, however, I’m flying in the winds of promise, am caught in life’s youthful present.
I throw my head back and my hands up
in utter joy and gratitude.
